Terrafirma Power Plug
"The intelligent vehicle enhancement".

When a car comes from the factory, it's ECU is set up with very cautious settings from the manufacturer, designed to take into account a wide variation in engineering tolerances, driving conditions and environmental factors. To fine tune each engine off the production line would take more time, money and resources than makes sense for the manufacturer.
The Terrafirma Power plug is a highly developed, pre-programmed state of the art performance upgrade that works in conjunction with the engine management system already fitted to all post 1998 diesel Land Rovers. The result is improved engine efficiency. Commonly known as 'plug and play' the Power plug is quite straight forward to fit and will give instant results, better performance and mpg!

No other performance upgrade is as technically advanced as the Terrafirma Power plug. Uniquely the Terrafirma Power plug enhances turbo boost, fuel pressure, throttle position and timing unlike other units that only enhance fuel pressure which can cause excessive exhaust temperatures resulting in engine failure.

The enhanced tune cannot be erased by "returning to factory settings" often done during main dealer servicing. The Power plug can be quickly eliminated from fault diagnosis if an engine running problem occurs and it can be removed and refitted into another similar vehicle model.
It can also be fitted by competent DIY mechanics.

Defender and Discovery II Td5 Power Plug
The Power plug for the Defender and Discovery II Td5 is the same and although the two vehicles leave the factory with different levels of tune the improvement in power and torque is much the same at 40bhp and 60ftlbs of torque. The improvent in driving is particularly significant and both Land Rovers now make impressive tow vehicles, the more you work them the more impressive they feel. The same unit is also used for automatic Discoverys.
Around 10% increase in fuel economy can be achieved drven responsibly.
For off rading and wading in deep water the Power plug can be combined with TFEL052 ECU extension loom.

Defender Td4 Power Plug
The current Defender engine is a 2.4 liter turbo intercooled diesel engine with the latest technology engine management system. The Td4 engine is greatly improved with the installation of a Terrafirma Power plug in both performance and economy. 28bhp and 45ftlbs of torque is typical making all aspects of driving this new Land Rover a real pleasure. Towing and off-roading are massively improved as torque is the big gain here. Fuel economy can improve by as much as 10% driven responsibly.

The Defender has a built in speed limiter which is also eliminated when a Powerplug is fitted improving the Defender's on road performance considerably.

Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport TdV6 Power Plug
The Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport share the same 2.7 liter TdV6 engine which is quite impressive in its standard form. Ad a Terrafirma Power plug and an increase of 35bhp and 40ftlbs of torque are achieved making the 2.5 ton vehicles considerably more potent.
As a popular tow vehicle the Disco 3 in both manual and automatic versions is significantly improved. As with all sophisticated engine management systems, light throttle loads return improved mpg.

Range Rover Td6 Power Plug
The Power plug for the Td6 Range Rover is a superb upgrade. This big heavy vehicle is transformed with an additional 40bhp and 60 ftlbs of torque. Its no racing car but now requires much less throttle to achieve the same performance. However when needed the additional power is very welcome. While cruising fuel economy can be increased significantly.

Range Rover TdV8 Power Plug
The power of the new Range Rover V8 diesel is considerable, but like all Land Rover products it leaves the factory with a conservative level of tune. The Terrafirma Power plug enhances that tune and takes it to a new level of performance that is seriously impressive, an additional 25bhp and 40ftlbs of torque is achieved. No compromise in fuel economy either as mpg will increase while cruising with a small throttle opening by as much as 10%.

The Freelander I Td4 Power plug provides an increase of 25bhp and 30ftlbs of torque making the vehicle considerably more drivable. An increase of between 5 and 10% fuel economy has also be reported when driven responsibly.

Freelander 2 Td4 Power Plug
The refined engine in the new Freelander 2 responds exceptionally well to a Terrafirma Power plug. The Range Rover's little brother sees significant improvements in performance and economy. 25bhp and 40ftlbs of torque improve the driving experience considerably and towing a large trailer or caravan is now a breeze. Each accelleration bringing a smile to the driver's face especially with upto 10% improvement in fuel economy.

Defender and Discovery II Td5 ECU extension loom
For Defender and Discovery Td5s that are likely to encounter deep water. Hard core off roaders and utility vehicles used in flood water will benefit from relocating the engine management ECU higher up in the vehicle. This 2m extension loom allows the ECU to be relocated in a safe place and for the wiring to be secured out of harms way. All standard connections are used and no reprogramming is necessary to fit the loom.
